Saturday Haiku

dressed in Easter best
cacophony of bells ring
urging us outside

our hats block the sun
first cherry blossoms blooming
to birds' love duet

  2. reminds me of Easter's past, when we'd dress from hat to shoes in new clothes, and parade up and down the waterfront park...Both of these are superb.

Lovely. Thanks for the church bells. They are extinct here except in my memory. A sad loss.

  10. Iconoclast that I am, I've always wondered why people dress in "Easter best" only on Easter.
